Sleeping Bag Tips for Great Camping

It is not a good idea to use just any sleeping bag you find in your home’s storage area. A new sleeping bag should be purchased that has adjustable straps so you can seal yourself in tightly. Get a good Sleeping Bag designed to insulate and keep out the cold.

Here are a few suggestions to put to use when you’re ready to climb into your Sleeping Bag: Wear a hat to bed to stop heat escaping through your head. Wear socks to bed as well, but make sure it’s a fresh pair and not the ones you have been trekking around in all day! Clean, dry socks are certainly preferable to those worn all day, which are probably wet and smelly by now. Make sure you are snuggled in tight in your Sleeping Bag. To prevent cold and moisture from creeping into your Sleeping Bag, tie up loose ends and secure any drafty areas.
