Sometimes when I start on a long hike, I often wonder if I will make the hike in time before dark. That why it’s important to carry HIKING GEAR with you.
Sometimes unexpected events crop up and change our plans. And our HIking Gear changes as per the season.
Your Hiking Gear list for a summer day trip should include this Essential Gear:

BACKPACK - Make sure it is large enough and fits comfortably
HIKING BOOTS – Make sure they fit properly and are the correct boots for the area. It’s a great
to waterproof them.
LAYERED CLOTHES: NO COTTON ! It’s a great idea to wear lightweight thermal underwear top
and bottom
INSULATION: May want a lightweight fleece jacket and vest. We recommend 200-300 weight
SHELL: We recommend a waterproof, windproof highly-breathable jacket or parka and pants.

Quick-drying hiking shorts (wear over the thermal underwear in cool weather)
